The KDA-LU lightning rod system is a lightning protection system (LPS). It serves to intercept, conduct, and dissipate lightning current and internal elements through bonding, shielding, and grounding. The objective of an LPS is to reduce the risk of damage to people and other living beings, as well as structures, buildings, and their contents.

It offers an 80m protection diameter.

KDALU Tip Description

Lightning strike capturing and current conducting tip designed in high conductivity aluminum, which is part of an external lightning protection system (ELPS), to reduce the risk of damage that a lightning strike can cause.

It seeks to reduce the incidence of lightning strikes by up to 95% due to its magnetoactive operation.

It is recommended to take into account the NMX-J-549-ANCE-2005 Standard which suggests that a lightning protection system (LPS) must have an internal lightning protection system (ILPS) and an external lightning protection system (ELPS).

The KDA-LU tip is part of the external protection, while the internal part corresponds to the transient surge suppressors (TSS) of the TOTAL GROUND Suprector brand.
