The MTB family of SFP+ Gigabit Ethernet modules can be installed in a PLANET Switch with a 10GBASE-SR/LR SFP+ interface.
The reach distance can be extended up to 300 meters (Multi-Mode, LC). The SFP+ transceivers are hot-pluggable and hot-swappable.
You can plug and unplug the transceivers to/from any SFP+ port without having to turn off the Switch.
