Logo Total Ground

The TOTAL GROUND brand grounding electrodes must be installed in conjunction with our earth enhancing compound to ensure a resistance of less than 2 Ohm (in most cases) and a maintenance-free installation for up to 20 years.

Magnetoactive electrodes include a compass and level to ensure a professional integration.

Description

  • Electrode: The TOTAL GROUND brand grounding electrode model TG-45AB. Made of highly conductive electrolytic copper, specially treated to retard the effects of corrosion.
  • Impedance coupler: Built-in LCR low frequency filtration device mounted on a structure with 3 1/2 inch connection terminals.
  • H2OHM Compound: Organic-based, made with a hygroscopic moisture coagulating material that has LAPEM test certificate and EMA accredited laboratory certificate, with values within the CRETIB standard of non-toxicity and no harm to the environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this physical ground kit guarantee me 5 ohms of resistance?

The system's resistance depends directly on the terrain characteristics (soil type, humidity, salts, density, compaction, etc.) and the improvements made (application of chemical enhancers, backfill with black soil, increasing depth or number of electrodes). Proper sizing can help reduce resistance levels, even achieving values very close to zero.

Is it necessary to place Auxiliary masses?

It is recommended to integrate the coupling of auxiliary masses using the impedance coupler. Although it is not a mandatory component, Total Ground suggests it because, by adding resistances in parallel, it significantly reduces the total resistance and improves system performance. Furthermore, its installation is a requirement to validate the 20-year warranty on Total Ground grounding systems.
