Product Features

The use of the KIT is recommended in photovoltaic systems for direct current protection. Its main application is in interconnection systems between the solar panel string and the central inverter. The thermal breaker is 800 Vdc at 32 A, 2 poles, intended to protect both the positive and negative of the array.

Kit contents
Suppressor specifications
  • Silicon Oxide Varistor
  • Unlimited number of protections
  • Response time 5 nanoseconds
Application

In the event of a lightning strike, the suppressor will take the damage; if the discharge is direct, of greater intensity than indicated in the technical data sheet and has sufficient accumulated heat and voltage, the suppressor will open a hole of approximately one inch at the bottom of the enclosure and expel hot silicon and plastic pieces, performing its maximum blocking function and protecting the circuit. Install the enclosure outside the cabinet as shown in the images.

In an interconnection system, the installation is done on the thermal breaker where the modules connect to the inverter, respecting colors and polarities as in the previous image; in microinverters, this can be omitted.
