  • Connection Method: BNC (female) input/output
  • Bandpass Range: 0 - 10 MHz
  • Impedance: 75 Ohms
  • Surge Current Rating: 20,000 A
  • Housing: Aluminum
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F)
  • Dimensions: 91 x 28 mm
  • Weight: 71 g
  • Check out the full datasheet
Highlighted Features:

DITEK's DTK-iBNC2.8 in-line surge protector is designed to protect externally mounted cameras where a dedicated ground connection is not available.

The iBNC2.8 diverts transient surges through the coaxial shield, protecting video transmission without introducing ground loops. Solid performance and easy installation make the DTK-iBNC2.8 a favorite among CCTV integrators.

Note: The coaxial cable shield must be grounded for the IBNC to function as designed. Either at the camera/post or at the headend/DVR chassis equipment.

This device does not require an external ground connection to function; it relies on the coaxial cable shield to dissipate surge energy.

The maximum ground resistance is 25 ohms; 5 ohms or less is optimal. This cannot be an assumed value and must be measured to ensure proper grounding.
