Network Security
It supports IP-MAC-port-VID binding, Port Security, Storm Control, and DHCP snooping functions that protect the network from Broadcast Storm, ARP, and other attacks. It also allows you to select some typical DoS attacks, making it easier to protect against these types of attacks. Access Control Lists (ACLs, from L2 to L4) restrict access to sensitive network resources by rejecting packets based on source and destination MAC address, IP address, TCP/UDP ports, and even VLAN ID. It also supports 802.1X authentication used with a RADIUS server, which requires authentication information before allowing network access. It supports the Guest VLAN function to allow unauthenticated 802.1X clients access to certain network resources.
Enterprise-level control functions
It is easy to use and manage. It supports various easy-to-use management standards such as an intuitive web-based graphical user interface or standard command-line interface (CLI) access. Whichever method is chosen, traffic can be protected using SSL or SSH encryption. It includes SNMP (v1/2/3) and RMON support, allowing the switch to be queried about its status and send alerts if an anomalous event occurs. It also integrates the NDP/NTDP protocol, which allows the switch to be managed more easily using the IP clustering function.
Layer 2 Security
It has a full range of Layer 2 features such as 802.1Q VLAN tags, port isolation, port mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, link aggregation, and 802.3x flow control. In addition, the switch offers a series of advanced options for network maintenance such as Loop Back Detection, cable diagnostics, and IGMP Snooping. The IGMP Snooping function ensures that the switch intelligently forwards the transmission only to authorized subscribers, while the IGMP Throttling & Filtering function restricts their access at the port level to prevent unauthorized access to multicast broadcasts.
